Fun Day

We had a really fun and busy day today.  We started out with breakfast - Roni ate pancakes and Rose ate grits.  Then we took Rose's glasses into the optical department at Super Walmart - we go there a lot - fix them.  She was hit in the face during aftercare and they were bent.  Following the glasses fix - we went to check out Halloween Costumes.

We decided to go with a super hero theme.  Rose is going to be super girl and Roni is going to be bat girl (the pink versions).

Then we went to Corks and Colors a local painting and pottery studio.  They only charge for the piece (no studio fees).    Rose painted a puppy and Roni a rainbow box.  The hubby and I both painted tea pots.  It was a nice relaxing time and we all really enjoyed it.

This evening our local FCA group (Families with Children from Asia) hosted an Autumn Moon festival.  We are so blessed to be in a town that has a large, active group.  The girls had fun playing with all the other kids and it was nice being with all the parents.  The kids swam, ate ice cream, listened to a story about the moon by Grace Lin and ate (at least a little bit of) a moon
Cake.
