Okay So What is This?

On our way home from Boca yesterday we passed a car with a huge object strapped to it's roof.  We had quite a good time speculating as to what exactly it is.  I am posting photos below.  Anyone care to guess what it is?  My hubby thinks it is an Alpine Horn and I think it's a giant bubble pipe.
